Growing Trend: Men's Florals Overtake Spring Collections

Mac Smith READ TIME: 13 MIN.

Designers are having a budding romance with florals this spring. And we're not talking sundresses and camisoles. The floral trend has grown in the world of menswear as patterns have taken runway prominence. Blame it on the return of dandy culture or a revolt against the Polar Vortex, but everywhere you look menswear designers are thinking lively springtime garden motifs.

Gucci Classic Floral Short Sleeve Button Front Shirt

Gucci's 'Flora' prints are well known for their instant injection of a summery, Mediterranean sense of luxury. Originally designed for a scarf meant for Princess Grace of Monaco in 1966, reinterpreted in a point collar short sleeve men's shirt, this design is fit for a style king. Paired with dark, cuffed denim and a duffel or knapsack and the look becomes an easy, slightly rustic vibe for holding court in the park with friends during an impromptu picnic.
