'QAnon Shaman' Left Threatening Note to Mike Pence, Demands a Presidential Pardon

Shirtless, buffalo horn-wearing and offensively tatted Jacob Anthony Chansley (a.k.a. "QAnon Shaman"), is fast becoming the poster boy of the Capitol insurrection. He has even been the subject of an X-rated parody. But it appears his plans to return to Washington next week for the Biden inauguration have been curtailed and his so-called gentle spirit has been questioned.

"In a court filing late on Thursday, federal prosecutors in Phoenix wrote that 'strong evidence, including Chansley's own words and actions at the Capitol, supports that the intent of the Capitol rioters was to capture and assassinate elected officials in the United States government," reports the Washington Post.

The memo reveals that the 33-year old Chansley (aka Jacob Angeli) left a threatening note to Vice President Mike Pence at his desk in the Senate chamber:"It's only a matter of time, justice is coming."

Chansley will likely be detained in Phoenix where he lives.

This latest revelation comes as Chansley lawyer Albert Watkins released a statement on Thursday, Business Insider reports, "arguing that his client should be pardoned, along with all other 'peaceful and compliant' Capitol protesters."

"My client had heard the oft-repeated words of President Trump," Watkins said in a press release. "The words and invitation of a president are supposed to mean something. Given the peaceful and compliant fashion in which Mr. Chansley comported himself, it would be appropriate and honorable for the president to pardon Mr. Chansley and other like-minded, peaceful individuals who accepted the president's invitation with honorable intentions."

His statement continued: "Mr. Chansley is an American; he served honorably in the US military," Watkins continued. "He has zero criminal history. He is a lover of nature, routinely practices meditation, is an active practicer of yoga, and eats only organic food. He took seriously the countless messages of President Trump. He believed in President Trump. Like tens of millions of other Americans, Chansley felt–for the first time in his life–as though his voice was being heard."

Chansley made news earlier this week for refusing to eat while jailed because of his special dietary needs and receiving an impassioned defense from his mother. "My son is a great patriot, a veteran, a person who loves this country," she said.

His instant celebrity has created a social media firestorm in the LGBTQ community with some finding him hot despite his hateful politics, and others condemning both him and those who find him attractive.
