Transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney is continuing to share her story despite the haters.

Mulvaney recently gave a lecture at Penn State in which she shared her "difficult" transition and revealed that she actually was estranged from her mother for a while, The Daily Mail reported.

The lecture was sparsely attended from the look of photos, but that didn't stop Mulvaney from living fully in her moment. Dressed in a Penn State jacket, she led a Penn State chant and delved into details about how her year of controversies have shaped her career.

"It was the hardest year of my life," said Mulvaney, adding that her "next musical theater dream is to do a production with a lot of trans people on stage."

Despite anyone's politics or beliefs, Mulvaney shared her belief that everyone deserves to be treated with respect.

"You're entitled to be treated with respect," Mulvaney said. "I never thought of myself as an activist, and then I got invited to the White House to interview the president."

And then she made the cover of Forbes' 30 Under 30 issue, and Mulvaney said it was "amazing."

"I think I am becoming a bit of a businesswoman," she said. "As much as I love the creative side, I love getting smarter: I want to know everything, and how it all works. Of course being in front of the camera, but I love the idea of producing and I think, why not learn it all."

Go, girl!
