Fla. Teen With Football-Size Penis Gets 'World's 1st' Reduction Surgery

As the old saying goes, "be careful what you wish for."

A Florida teen with a 7-inch flaccid penis that had a whopping 10-inch circumference underwent the "world's first" penis reduction surgery to be able to experience normal erections and penetrate a partner, Medical Daily reports.

His inflated member was due to a pre-existing sickle cell disease that led to multiple priapism episodes. Priapism is a condition in which the erect penis does not return to its flaccid state. All of this leads to stretching his penis permanently to gargantuan proportions.

According to Inquisitor.com, the teen complained that his abnormally "large and heavy" penis was often visible beneath his pants which were reportedly difficult for him to wear.

"His penis had inflated like a balloon," Dr. Rafael Carrion, an urologist at the University of South Florida, who treated the teen, told the Daily Mail. "It sounds like a man's dream - a tremendously inflated phallus - but unfortunately although it was a generous length, its girth was just massive, especially around the middle. It looked like an American football."

After a surgical procedure which involved removing two segments of tissue and required a two-day recuperative hospital stay, the teen was left with a penis "slightly longer and slightly thicker than the average male," according to Carrion.

"There comes a time in every urologist's career that a patient makes a request so rare and impossible to comprehend that all training breaks down and leaves the physician speechless." Carrion said. "That question was 'can you make my penis smaller?'"
